Present Moment produce theatre that illuminates and so enables participants and audience to make sense of our world through the experience of those who came before or from elsewhere. Engaging young people in the arts, as audience and participants, is fundamental to Present Moment's work. That's why we offer:
- Discount tickets for schools/college parties (including teachers).
- Free education packs providing information on the social and historical context of the play as well as practical work suitable for A-level English Literature, A-level Drama and Theatre Studies and GCSE Drama.
- Devised theatre projects, and other creative opportunities, exploring the themes and conventions of each production.
- Vocational and pre-vocational training placements.
- A range of workshops in schools to support and enhance students work, (planned by Joss Bennathan, author or Developing Drama Skills 11-14). These include whole day workshops which deliver specific practical units of GCSE Drama or A level Drama and Theatre Studies.
Present Moment recognise that education is a lifelong process and that those beyond school age or not in education, employment or training should have access to our work, via discounted tickets as audience and via participatory opportunities.

The workshop you provided was invaluable, not only to the students but for me, too. My students learnt refreshing ways of exploring and presenting their Drama which they used in other areas of the course.

A very mixed ability group - including beginner's learning English - benefitted from the workshops run by you in order to consolidate and inform their learning, their understanding of the play and their practical Drama skills.

The Wild Justice project in which my students took part was only of benefit to their overall learning. The combination of themes, workloads, time management and opportunity to work with real professionals of the theatre has had a marked effect on their attitude to drama both in their practical work and theoretical thinking.

The best workshop I can recall, the most useful education pack and a great production - it really brought Restoration theatre to life for my students!

The workshops alongside seeing the professional production itself and the excellent education pack combined to make a dynamic and diverse project that will directly benefit students in all papers of the A level Drama exam.

Brilliant! The production in combination with the workshop made a difficult genre accessible to 14 year old Hackney girls and, more to the point, had them buzzing with excitement about what making and appreciating theatre can be about!

Excellent. The rare opportunity to have a question and answer session with a director who knows how to interact with young people increased their understanding of the genre as well as the importance of interpretation.

Excellent background notes ... saved me a lot of explanation; they really did make the social context very clear. You brought the text to life for us. I look forward eagerly to your next interpretation of some dusty classic.

Initially its impact was one of pleasure and entertainment, but the longer lasting value has been immense ... Some updated version of classic plays can seem patronising and lose the essence of the dialogue, but your production did not, in any way, compromise the original

Our students found both the production and the workshop fascinating and intructive, as well as immensely entertaining.
